Abba, when will you come to save us Israel.
The kingdom united has divided
And neither law nor mercy was kept as
They’ve stormed the gates to spill the blood of saints.
You remain seated in your tabernacle.
In sanctuaries, in your priests, you are.
Where are you in the world outside, Abba?
Where is our Father in a godless world?
Your beloved, Dismas, betrayed the world
Because the world betrayed him first and the
World sought to win his soul by killing hope.
But the world drove him to he who’d not betray.
The world passes through the flame. His reward comes still.
The beloved gives to all who pray. Not for them but him.
Love is his way and he gives his loved ones all they ask
To overcome the world.
Domine Iesus Christe, Fili Dei, miserere mei.
