35 (IV) - Lament, To be Loved by the World and God

IV
But grace, grace, grace, why it’s always grace.
Give me your face.
Let me give you seventy times seven
Reasons why one can’t
Just enter through His gates on faith!

Kyrie Eleison.
Forgive me God.
Old man or new man,
You’re all I’ve ever had.
Oh to be loved by God and man,
To be loved like them.
Fine, good for them.
Wouldn’t want to accuse the other bride,
When I myself could have had their life.

If I were more like you,
I could have been one of them.
But I have wasted a good start,
And now my life's a proverb
On why one should never forsake God.
Knowledge increased my sorrows.
One doesn't have to suffer temptation
When temptation’s easily satiated.
But bless them Lord, please do.
It’s better not to know this truth.
Once you do, in comes the evil one
To question your every virtue.

But if I endure till the end,
My sufferings should pass
When you touch your hand upon me,
And I am healed from sin.
But how much of my faith
Do you want to squeeze?
Of these fruits, do you like the taste,
When in lament I pray?
I should love to pray as I've received,
But I can't live this whole campaign,
Gaslighting the one who gave life to me.
Should I pray, "Peace, peace,"
When God prays, "There is no peace."
I can only pray to pray
How you want me to pray.
And please, pray that I do, Father,
As if I loved nothing else but you.
Amen.
