And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Oh Jesus Christ, you’ve bled for all our sins,
But forgive me Lord, I confess I must lament.
This weak soul bleeds you for repeated sins.
Each time that we sin,
We make war against heaven.
So you take your cross again
To pay our price again.
Yes I know we’re blessed,
You gift us entry to heaven.
But worry taints my soul,
It seemed I’ve plugged my ears to your screams
Because whether my wrongs are high or light,
The same cross is lifted for them all.
How could I claim to love my God
When I keep nailing Him across?
So Father know me, I am ashamed.
Pray I keep your faith
So from your cross you may step down
And I may see your face.
