He who is faithful in little things shall be faithful in great things
The flesh is weak.
The heart is hard.
The heart blasphemes God
Even when one cuts the tongue.
If one can’t submit their flesh that is weak
How can one submit their heart that is hard?
To answer:
Exterior holiness is less pleasing to God,
But if the heart can’t be helped,
Defeating what’s out in the flesh’s a start.
After flesh, then heart,
Which may take all of life to submit to God.
