5 - Prayer: The Consideration of the Body

Blessings to the reader for Heaven's perfect health

Our body, LORD, is a fine thing.
It is made in the image of yourself, God.
But some have heard that Word.
If thy hand causes you to sin, cut it off.
But God, that's a bit much.
Ye may as well kill my body so I'll sin no more.
Better it is to enter Heaven maimed, or quickly dead
Than to enter Hell after 777 years of health.
But I'm starting to sound like the devil now.
Let us consider thy actual will.
Father, I pray you prove every lie wrong.
We are given eyes to see, ears to hear,
And a mouth to speak.
If the blind could not lust
Then why should you heal the blind?
If the tongue could not curse
Then why should you heal the mute?

Consider us then who cope with their afflictions
By viewing them as purification of our sins.
Would we then be lying to ourselves?
Why would we accept a needless suffering
When we know of thy infinite mercies?

Say you heal a blind man, and he lusts.
Should you then place a curse on him?
Make him blind again?

I've been speaking for too long.
There is no market for speech this long.
Father, I pray your grace for all
By God, every cell in our body repents.
Every cell in our body is healed from sin.
Amen.
