36 - Better is the Wrath of God than the Devil's Love

When the Son of God comes again to judge the living and the dead,
Let it be said in truth that the chastisements of our Father be well-loved over the comforts offered by Hell.
When the veil is lifted, many comforts shall be revealed as cages of burning iron while many sufferings as baths of living water.
Pray that all may see past the veil while there's still time.

Better is the wrath of God
Than the devil’s love.
Put your comforts away, world.
God, cure me with your blood!
Wake us with your rod,
Lest we sleepwalk into hell.
Let’s not be drunk with sin,
But strike us Father so we may live!

But remind us of your mercies,
To think you have none left,
Is when Satan rubs his hands to speak.
To turn our heads to sin.
So keep us Lord, By your Word,
Let him not deceive.
Find us Lord, your poor lost sheep,
Drag us back to your good flock.

For better to be under watch
By our Shepherd’s iron rod
Than to bleat in the wild free,
As their long-awaited feed.
The sheep free from the flock
Will soon be slaves to death.
There can only be one fate,
For they who run from God.

So Father, oh God, pray we return,
Into the welcome arms of your flock.
Let us all be cured of sin and death,
By feasting of your flesh and blood.
Let us not tempt thee by running,
But let us stay, so we may be fed kindly.
Amen.
